Meet Laila Maghawry, a remarkable NU Business student who graduated in 2019. From her first step onto campus, Laila experienced the mix of excitement and nervousness that comes with the transition from high school to university. However, the orientation programs provided the support she needed to ease her worries, and meeting fellow students, faculty, and staff reassured her that she was not alone in this transformative journey.

Academics quickly became the heart of Laila's university experience. Choosing her major and enrolling in courses that aligned with her passions and career aspirations filled her with exhilaration and challenge. Throughout her academic journey, she attended lectures, engaged in discussions, completed assignments, and prepared for exams. These experiences pushed her to expand her knowledge and develop critical thinking skills, turning her university years into a voyage of intellectual curiosity and self-discovery.

But for Laila, university life went beyond the classroom. She eagerly embraced opportunities for personal growth through co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Joining student organizations and clubs, and even starting her own business, the famous "ZigZag" food cart, allowed her to fully enjoy every aspect of her journey, from its rollercoaster moments to the incredible people she met along the way.

Of course, like any student, Laila faced her fair share of challenges during her university journey. She encountered moments of academic difficulty, personal setbacks, and periods of stress. However, during these times, she discovered her resilience and problem-solving abilities, with unwavering support from the university community. Academic advising, counseling services, and peer mentoring played crucial roles in helping her overcome obstacles and thrive both academically and personally.

These skills enhanced her professional capabilities and made her more competitive in the job market.
