Minor in Information Technology and Computer Science (ITCS)

NU Business Administration students who are interested in Information Technology and Computer Science, and want to take their careers in several directions, there are two tracks that you can follow to declare a minor in ITCS:

(Your CGPA must be 3.0 or higher).

1) The General Track:

Students are required to complete five courses (15 Cr. Hrs.).

  1. CSCI 201: Introduction to Programming
  2. CSCI 207: Data Structures and Algorithms
  3. CSCI 313: Software Engineering
  4. CSCI 404: Database Systems
  5. CSCI 463: Introduction to Computer Networks

2) The Big Data Track:

Students are required to complete seven courses (21 Cr. Hrs.).

  1. CSCI 201: Introduction to Programming
  2. CSCI 207: Data Structures and Algorithms
  3. CSCI 304: Analysis Design of Algorithms
  4. CSCI 404: Database Systems
  5. CSCI 322: Data Analysis
  6. CSCI 461: Introduction to Big Data
  7. CSCI 467: Data Mining Analytics

All minors require the completion of NUSB Graduation Project with a focus on the student minor and under the joint coordination of faculty members from both schools: Graduation Project 1 (BSAD 481-IT) and Graduation Project 2 (BASD 482-IT).
